These 18W halogen globes have a blue colour coating applied, however it is so thick only a very small amount of light gets through (almost none). They are therefore being sold as being good for heat only - such as in reptile, bird or other enclosures. They emit a very, very small amount of blue light, and a very thin sliver of white light around the base of the globe as you can see in the photo, however most purposes you would regard them as emitting only heat, not light.
