What is a PP Sediment Water Filter?
PP melt blown filter, based on the manufacturing technology of multi-leveled comprehensive Filter, is a kind of Melt-Blown three leveled PP impurity filter that is produced by three nozzles of different diameters. The product is structured with three different fibers, inside thin and outside thick, which better filters water, increases the filte Impurity capacity, prolongs its service life and thus lowers the cost.
Standard Universal Filter Cartridge:5 micron replacement sediment water filter cartridge, 20" Length by 4.5" Outside Diameter 5 Micron. Compatible with a wide rage of industrial filter housings, fit for whole house filtration system.
Excellent Filter Performance: Higher flow rate than 10" filter, low pressure drop, superior chemical resistance through use of 100% polypropylene Microfibers which cause no pollution to water. This filter meets NSF (National Science Foundation) Standard 42 Certified.
Higher Dirt-Holding Capacity: Three separate gradient density layers enhance cartridge performance. It can remove more contaminants, large and fine particles from well/city/municipal water, such as sand, dirt, silt, iron and rust particles. Does a better job and more capacity than the 10" filter.
Longer Service Lifetime: Usually can be used for 6 months or longer, depending on the water quality that comes from the original supply. It should be replaced when color darkens or water flow slows, recommended change out differential pressure is 30psi (2.1bar).
Protect Process Equipment:Designed to prevent dirt and sediment particles from entering and clogging the main filter unit. Be sure to install these before your water softener, well water filtration system, hot water heater, etc. Maximum operating temperature is 176˚F(80˚C).

Attention:
**This filter housing has a maximum operating pressure rating of 90 psi, if you suspect that your water pressure will at any time exceed 80 psi, a pressure regulator MUST BE INSTALLED before the filter housing. this action will guard against the water pressure exceeding the maximum pressure rating.it is recommended that the pressure regulator be set at 60 psi or less.
**The rubber o-ring provides the water tight seal between the cap and the sump. it is important that the o-ring be properly SEATED IN THE GROOVE of a water leak could occur.
