If using a  data logger :

Option 1: The fob can be programmed via the card  reader using a PRE keypad to a free memory slot.
Option 2: Pass the fob on  the reader, check the number that the reader reports to the data logger, enter  that number into the logger. Do not use the number printed on the fob
