Paul Verhoeven brings his trademark energy, thrills and nerve to what could have been a bland remake of 'The Invisible Man'.  Great special effects, a sublime Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack and a committed cast deliver an effective (an often overlooked) horror thriller.  The cast includes Kevin Bacon, Elisabeth Shue, Josh Brolin and Greg Grunberg.

This region 2 DVD provides some great extras into the making of the movie including details about the special effects and two great commentary tracks featuring Jerry Goldsmith, Paul Verhoeven and Kevin Bacon.  Also included are deleted scenes particularly for a vicious scene which was trimmed down.

Highly recommended for horror / thriller / Verhoeven / Bacon fans!
