Mid-19th century map of Natal and Kaffraria. Just under the decorative border is the following:  on the far left, 'Illustrations by H. Winkles and Engraved by W. Lacey'. As explained in the condition description, the text on the far right, 'The Map Drawn & Engraved by J. Rapkin' is missing because the map was trimmed too closely and unevenly at  the time of issue/printing; this text is seen on other maps which do not suffer this inherent flaw.
