The models are produced in house on a 3d SLA printer using UV photo polymer resins, creating a detailed model with a smooth surface, ready for final sanding, priming and then painting. The gears could be painted to represent a delivery of industrial Steel (50/50 mix of Citadel Leadbelcher and Abaddon Black for the duller texture of the body of casting and Leadbelcher on the  machined surfaces and  gear faces ). Alternatively they could be painted to represent a load of scrap iron, with suitable rusting and  weathering techniques.
