ATTENTION : Please read the following information so you know what you are about to buy here!!!
This is a repair service of your own trip/compass computer (also known as EVIC or OTIS) not a replacement part. How does it work?
1. You first order the repair service here, shipping costs will cover the return trip of your part.
2. Then I email you with my address (located in France) so you can send your OTIS/EVIC to my place for repair (shipping and insurance costs at your expense).
3. Upon arrival the box is opened under video surveillance, so we both have a proof of how the part arrived.
4. After a good clean-up, repair begins... All light bulbs are also being replaced with new ones.
5. Finally, the part is sent back to you: repaired, tested, and cleaned.
What if the part is beyond repair? Well you have two options:
- Shipping costs being prepaid, the item is returned to you and you also get a partial refund depending on the time I spent trying repairing it (up to 75% of the repair price).
- You don't want to get your faulty part back? No problem! You then qualify for a full refund (shipping + repair service).
Usual symptoms of a faulty unit:
The display is acting weird, intermittently. Or it doesn't work at all... Or might work when shaking or taping in it... Backlight is working fine however, and aside for the display the unit is functional (HomeLink is working for example).
