This is a steel fitting that will attach a 1.25" female fitting to a 1" ID hose (also has a threaded tip for screw-on connections as well).  Comes with sealing grommet as well.

These are commonly used on submersible pumps for a variety of functions: Irrigation, pond equipment, etc.
