GARNET ABRASIVE - MEDIUM COARSE GRADE ~ 500 GRAMS TO 1.5 KILOS ~ GRIT

Garnet abrasive is a naturally occurring silicate mineral deposit commonly used as an abrasive on metal where a smooth, clean finish is required. 

In comparison to some alternatives, garnet is an environmentally friendly abrasive due to its being naturally occurring, inert and non-toxic. In addition, it can also usually be reused a number of times, depending on the process for which it is used.  Garnet abrasive does not produce as much dust as other expendable abrasives, making it particularly suited for use in confined spaces.

This is medium coarse grade (30/60 mesh or 200-600 microns) for removal of light rust and paint. Please see our other listings for coarse and ultra coarse grades of garnet.
