3 Peacock DADDY Long Legs DRY Flies Crane Fly Terrestrial TROUT Fly Fishing Size 8,10,12

Daddy long-legs are probably the best known of the crane fly family which in turn belongs to the entomological order of Diptera. They’re instantly recognizable by their six rather gangly legs, short, clear wings and slender abdomens and can be found in a range of sizes with an overall body length that varies from as short as 10mm to an impressive 30mm. This fly is the hugely popular peacock herl bodied version of the daddy long-legs. Whether it's the herl body or the fact that it's a meaty mouthful that's just too good to miss trout can't resist this fly even when there aren't many 'naturals' around - in late summer when the ungainly daddies take to the air and often struggle on the surface of the water, this imitative pattern proves particularly deadly.  This fly was first made famous by Alistair Robjent and now widely known as the 'Robjent's Daddy' is a multiple winner of the River Test 'One Fly' competition held at the beginning of each season.
