I am offering a Vintage Kaiser Porcelain Vase
This absolutely gorgeous Kaiser Vase has been in my family for over 60 years and has been displayed in a curio until recently.
The company is actually called ALKA (which stands for Alboth and Kaiser). The history of the company goes all the way back to 1872 when August Alboth started a small china decorating company in Germany.
It became AL-KA in 1927 when August's grandson, Willy Alboth, and George Kaiser (who married August's granddaughter, Erna) partnered up.
Based on the mark, it should date from about 1957 to 1960. It's an ewer-style vase on a pedestal. It's embellished with a floral swag and gold accents.
The company changed factories and cities a few times, but the name and family control pretty much remained the same until 2001 when it was taken over by investors.
It's a gorgeous, elegant design that almost looks like what some of the German factories were producing during the late 1800's.
