A Santa Claus Cantata for Sunday School and Public School Use. Synopsis: Grandmother Goodhart is living in the home of her daughter Ellen and her son-in-law "Uncle John." They are expecting the three children of Ellen's sister for Christmas, also a group of children from Ellen's class at a Mission School. A happy time for the children is being planned, especially by Ellen. But her poor husband is having a hard time of it because of all the work piled on him and especially when Ellen inveigles him into playing Santa, much against his wishes. He makes a mess of it when he finally does it, the children recognize him, and his biggest trouble comes when the real Santa appears and reproaches him for his impersonation of Santa. But all ends happily.
