BMW X5/X3 LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR LOCK CILYNDER REPAIR KIT. This kit includes:

1 = Retaining Clip - This holds all the lock components together
2 = Lock Shaft - This shaft has a "cross" shaped top. This cross fits into the actuator within the door and signals the vehicle to unlock the door when turned.
3 = Spring - This gives tension to the lock when turned and allows the lock to return to the center position.
4 = U-Shaped Middle Plate - This section joins the lock mechanism to the spring and shaft. Two slightly different pieces are provided (driver-D1, passenger-D2).  THIS PIECE IS THE MOST COMMON TO FAIL
5 = Base plate - This is the bottom piece that functions to keep all the components in place. This piece does not rotate.

2003-2010 BMW X3 (2.5L,3.0L AN 3.0 SI
