Many players want to focus on jumping higher when they should be focusing on having quicker feet. Sure everyone wants to dunk and that is their dream. But if your dream is to get a scholarship and play at the highest level you can, becoming as quick as you can will help you get to the highest level you can get more so than jumping high. Think about it. How many dunks will you likely throw down in a game? How many rebounds will you get? Ok, so you might get a few dunks and you'll get a few more boards maybe. Now think about how many times you are going to have to move with speed and quickness in a game. Every time up and down the court is the answer. On defense, you are going to have to move and the quicker you are the better defender you will be. Offensively, have explosiveness and quickness will make you a much better offensive player. Being very quick is more useful than jumping high in basketball.
