This is a serious stiletto/laying tool.  The removable tip has three flat sides allowing thread to slide on a flat angle rather than a typical round point.  The tip will unscrew from the base and invert into the case for safety.  Made of steel, the stiletto measures 4-1/4" with the tip enclosed and 5-1/2" overall.
