An excellent vintage 19th century white ironstone covered serving/sauce tureen marked J. & G. Meakin, Ironstone china. It is in excellent condition with no chips or damage or any kind. The fine glaze crazing is typical and normal for a piece of this age and the white ironstone porcelain does it's job, displaying and serving your food without distraction.
It is 8 1/4" long from handle to handle, 5 1/8" deep, and 6 1/8" high. The serving area is 6 1/4" long, 3 1/8" deep. It weighs 1 lb. 13. oz.
