This apple baking dish is red stoneware and is in excellent condition. It measures 6-1/4 inches diameter and 2-1/16 inches tall. It is ovenproof, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe and the glaze is lead-free.

Mine is a grayish tan color glaze with a blue swirl design. (The bottom is un-glazed and shows the red clay.)

If this were mine, I would place a cored apple in the dish with spices, butter, syrup, bake for 30-40 minutes, or microwave it for 3 minutes.
