WWII Flint Michigan Homefront Lot Ration Book 4 Savings Stamps Mileage Card Florine Family History Archive WWI Era Church Booklet

Incredibly rare, unbroken single-family social history archive tracking the Rook and Florine families of Flint, Michigan, spanning from the post-WWI era through World War II. Finding multiple childhood and wartime home-front artifacts explicitly linked by name to a single family household is exceptionally uncommon. This archive features excellent display potential for advanced ephemera, militaria, or genealogical collectors.

THE BUNDLE INCLUDES 4 UNIFIED HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS:

1. WWI Era Methodist Youth Missionary Stamp Booklet (Circa 1919-1920)

- Title: "A Story in Stamps" published by the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church (Boston, Mass).

- Provenance: Hand-signed by "Vera E. Rook" (Vera’s maiden name before marrying into the Florine family).

- Content: Features moral story spreads regarding youth charity initiatives ("King's Heralds") raising money for French World War I orphans and Indian famine relief.

- Highlights: Features ONE original, fully intact illustrated vintage stamp pasted into the text narrative on page 9.

2. WWII War Ration Book Four (Circa 1943-1944)

- Provenance: Hand-signed by "Vera E. Florine" living at Locust St. in Flint, Michigan.

- Condition: Excellent, mostly full state of preservation. It contains large, intact blocks of original red and green food rationing point stamps.

- Rarity: Features multiple clean, distinct, upside-down ink stamp marks reading "LIQUOR C.C. STORE #1" and "LIQUOR C.C. STORE #105". These indicate local usage at the state-controlled Michigan Liquor Control Commission distribution stores in Flint to track regional alcohol limits during wartime spirit shortages.
