CNC Machined Billet Aluminium Mini Wheel Rim Paperweight UQ Engineering 6.5cm

Description

A miniature alloy wheel CNC-machined from a single block of solid aluminium. It was made as a student project at the University of Queensland, and it’s engraved on the face with “UQ”, “MECH2305” (UQ’s second-year mechanical engineering design and manufacturing course) and “APW”.

The detail is impressive for its size: seven split spokes with mounting tabs around the barrel, a five-hole centre with countersunk holes, a rolled outer lip, and a deep machined barrel behind the face.

Size: 6.5 cm diameter, 3 cm high
Weight: 120 g

Please note this is a decorative one-off, not a functional wheel. It isn’t made to fit any RC car or model.

It makes a great desk piece or paperweight for a machinist, CNC hobbyist, car enthusiast or UQ engineering graduate.
