This is a compressor pedal aimed at smoothing out volume peaks.
The pedal enables a softening of loud peaks and the boosting of low signal levels making overall sound more rich and balanced with consistent volume.
This it does very well providing clean effective compression, balancing highs and lows nicely and making the signal to the amp a little bit hotter. It can also give a nice clean, clear, clipped sound, and can add good, usable sustain.

button 3 - sustain
