Pacific Pottery in California made numerous utilitarian ware, decorative items, and dinnerware in the early 20th century. In the early 1930s, they introduced dinnerware place settings and serving pieces with bright solid colors in their plain and ringed Hostessware lines. The Hostessware line included 3 pieces decorated with bunnies for children - a divided dish, a handled bowl, and a 2-handled mug.
This children's handled bowl # 657 is 4-3/4 inches in diameter. The bowl itself is 2-1/2 inches tall and the bunny is 3-3/8 inches tall. It is a heavy sturdy piece weighing about 1 pound.
An example of this bowl can be seen on page 110 of the 2001 Schiffer Book for Collectors "Pacific Pottery - Tableware from the 1920s, '30s, '40s..and more!" with Price Guide by Jeffrey B. Snyder.
For a child's bowl almost 100 years old, it is in very good vintage condition and would be a great piece to add to a collection or display all on its own.
