Invasion of the Body Snatchers (VHS, 1978) – 1992 Release – Donald Sutherland – Horror

Something is happening in San Francisco—and people are changing. Health inspector Matthew Bennell begins noticing that friends and acquaintances are behaving strangely, eventually discovering that alien spores are creating emotionless duplicates of human beings. As the mysterious “pod people” spread throughout the city, Bennell and a handful of survivors desperately try to stay awake and escape assimilation.

Philip Kaufman’s 1978 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a chilling blend of science fiction, psychological horror, paranoia, and body horror, featuring an outstanding cast led by Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Leonard Nimoy, Jeff Goldblum, and Veronica Cartwright.
