MANTEL CLOCK MOVEMENT German PENDULUM & WESTMINSTER CHIMES & HANDS for parts 2t

Mantel clock movement made by German firm ISGUS (Jacob Schlenker Schwenningen). Includes original pendulum, hands and chimes.

The mechnaims rather unusual. It is two train though provides full westminster chime. As far aas I can work out both the time and quarter chime are driven fron one very large spring with the strike driven by a smaller one. The movement is grubby though incredibly well engineered! Both springs are good and it ticks over and appears to chime freely. The strike is a little sluggish. Useful for parts or to tinker with.



DIMENSIONS:




Weighs 2.26kg before wrapping. The movements backplate measures 128mm x 124mm. The minute hand measure 82mm centre to tip and centre to the winders is 47mm with the winders 65mm apart.
