There are two repairs on the canvas one in the bottom left corner, where the houses are and one in the upper right hand corner in the cloud there are significant repairs and will probably need to be redone.
This oil painting depicts the famous Allées d'Étigny in the mountain spa town of Bagnères-de-Luchon (Haute-Garonne, France) facing the Pyrenees mountains.
Based on identical compositions, architecture, and historical prints of this exact view by artists like André Gorse, it was likely painted during the mid-to-late 19th century (circa 1850–1880). During this era, Luchon flourished as a highly fashionable thermal resort town, which inspired numerous artists to capture its scenic, tree-lined main avenue flanked by classic hotels and cafes.
