The yellowed pickguard gives it a modern vintage look that will make it stand out on stage! The actual weight is 3.36kg.
With an alder body and a 25.5-inch scale, it boasts an ideal lightweight balance for an ST-style guitar. [Specifications, etc.] Equipped with three custom-designed 635JM single-coil pickups, developed based on vintage ST pickups from 1963/1964. It offers just the right amount of tension and punch, effectively suppressing harsh high frequencies while delivering a satisfyingly rich overdrive and clear cutting sound.
The neck features a meticulously crafted 635JM shape, combining a vintage feel with exceptional playability. This custom neck shape was created after measuring and analyzing the neck grips of vintage guitars from 1963/1964.
It features a comfortable, rounded grip, a traditional 7.25-inch radius fingerboard, and custom-made medium-sized frets. The neck heel has been rounded, and the treble horn has also been shaved down to improve access to the higher positions.
The hardware is also noteworthy, featuring a PRS original steel tremolo bridge with knife-edge screws and vintage-style locking tuners! The ability to quickly change strings is another practical and welcome feature! [Condition] The overall condition shows signs of careful handling, making it a reliable and ready-to-use instrument!
1. Appearance: The pickguard has a strong patina, giving it a very cool look.
There are some minor scratches, but it is in relatively good condition. 2.
Neck: No warping or twisting issues. 3.
Truss Rod: Plenty of adjustment range in both directions. 4.
Frets: Plenty of life remaining. Currently, there are no playability issues such as dead spots.
This instrument was manufactured in 2019, making it a transitional piece from the PRS USA factory's traditional polyurethane finish to a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Therefore, it is difficult to determine the exact type of finish on the actual instrument.
To prevent deterioration or discoloration of the finish, we recommend handling it the same way you would a lacquer-finished instrument when placing it on a stand or storing it. This is a must-see for those looking for an early model (around 2019) or a USA-made Silver Sky in excellent condition!
