Martin D-28 Rich Robinson 2023 Used Acoustic Guitar 2023

A guitar that deserves a seal of approval in terms of looks, sound, and condition. A used "D-28 Rich Robinson" has arrived!!

Based on the 1954 D-28 that Rich Robinson himself used for many years and created numerous songs with, this instrument is based on the 1954 D-28 used by the American rock band "The Black Crowes," who gained popularity with their unique musical style rooted in a wide range of genres including psychedelic, blues, and Southern rock.

The aged finish, with its rich amber color, faithfully reproduces scratches, dents, and even weather checking, giving it an overwhelming vintage feel. The crisp attack and tight resonance obtained from the rear-shifted non-scalloped bracing structure are characteristic of the 1950s, offering a sound distinct from the current lineup's expansive sustain.

The 42.9mm nut width and moderately thick neck shape provide excellent grip, and the inclusion of a truss rod allows for precise adjustments. Regarding the condition, as it is an aged model, it is difficult to determine the exact location of damage, but there are no cracks or other damage to the wood, and there are no particularly noticeable signs of wear.

The neck remains straight, and the current string height at the 12th fret is approximately 2.3mm on the 6th string side and approximately 1.8mm on the 1st string side, which is an ideal setting and provides excellent playability. The saddles are approximately 3.5mm high from the top of the bridge on both the 6th and 1st string sides, allowing for ample room for future adjustments.

Original hardshell case included.
