This is an authentic, original World War I German commemorative memorial frame (Kriegsgedenkblatt / Totenzettel style presentation) dedicated to an early-war casualty
The elegant German script at the bottom reads:
"Zur Erinnerung an den Weltkrieg 1914-15. Emil Lehmann geb. 6. Mai 1880, gef. 11. Okt. 1914 b./ Tarczyn

The pre-printed lithograph mat background features stunning patriotic artwork, including an Iron Cross with oak leaves at the top, and crossed imperial flags and rifles along the borders. Signed by the artist/printer "EDVA. 14." in the lower corners.
