Vintage handmade frog figurine features an assembly of natural forest materials over a hollow core base. The underside is constructed with a vibrant green leaf-veined paper foundation and thick palm fiber bristles. The upper body is layered with pieces of tree bark, natural lichen, and small cross-sections of wood branches to recreate the bumpy texture of amphibian skin. It is finished with two realistic glass dome eyes set into fiber eyelids. This decorative piece showcases traditional folk art craftsmanship using renewable woodland materials.

This style of natural fiber folk art gained widespread popularity from the late 1980s through the 1990s.
