Note that number in brackets in auction title is only my inventory number.
See my other ebay listings for more Flint and Obsidian stone tool type items. They have all been hand chipped in the same way that Obsidian has been chipped in pre historic times to make cutting tools and weapons. No two are exactly alike. You get the exact item shown in my photo.
Combining lots to save on postage would be fine.
See my other extensive selection of Rocks, Crystals and Fossils on ebay also.
NOTE: I sell a lot of Obsidian arrowheads (I can put a large lot together if you want more) and I keep getting buyers who are unfamiliar with Obsidian saying that it looks like glass to them. The reason for that is because it is basically glass. In fact it is commonly called "Volcanic Glass". Obsidian is naturally formed around volcanoes and is a very common naturally occurring stone. Due to its glass like properties Obsidian was a useful stone for many Neolithic and earlier man. Below is the Wikipedia entry for Obsidian which should tell you a lot about Obsidian (Reproduced word for word using Wikipedia's "commons" license so I am not plagiarizing by copying their entry here.
((FROM WIKIPEDIA)) Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. It is an igneous rock. Obsidian is produced from felsic lava, rich in the lighter elements such as silicon, oxygen, aluminum, sodium and potassium. It is commonly found within the margins of rhyolitic lava flows known as obsidian flows. These flows have a high content of silica, granting them a high viscosity. The high viscosity inhibits diffusion of atoms through the lava, which inhibits the first step in the formation of mineral crystals. Together with rapid cooling, this results in a natural glass forming from the lava. Obsidian is hard, brittle, and amorphous. It therefore fractures with sharp edges. In the past, it was used to manufacture cutting and piercing tools.
Note that Obsidian is also useful for killing Whitewalkers. (You will only understand this comment if you watched GAME OF THRONES - and I believe that everybody did) but if you are looking for a gift for a Game of Thrones fan this would be perfect.
