Original U.S. M1 Mitchell Pattern camouflage helmet cover from the Vietnam War era.
This is an early contract example marked:
COVER, HELMET, CAMOUFLAGE
CONTRACT NO. 7057
FSN-8415-261-6833
100% COTTON
DPSC, DIR. OF MPR.
Contract No. 7057 is generally dated to late 1964 to early 1965, making this an early Vietnam War-era production Mitchell Pattern helmet cover.
The cover is reversible, with green leaf camouflage on one side and the brown cloud pattern on the reverse.
It shows only light evidence of use. The camouflage colors remain strong overall and there are no major tears or holes.
There is minor age-related wear, light surface rubbing, and some wear around the camouflage slots consistent with its age.
Please examine all photos carefully for condition and details.
A desirable early-contract original Mitchell Pattern helmet cover with clearly readable Contract No. 7057 markings.
