This is a Marine Ritche Power Damp steering compass . The glass glass and dial are very clear and without damage. It works perfectly. The Ritche Co. had a flotation system that keeps the compass steady in rough seas. They called the system Power Damp. The original mounting  screws are inside the base and rattle a bit. The compass looks easy to mount.
