Antique 3” try square, an unmarked traditional hand tool used for checking and marking accurate 90-degree angles. Try squares were commonly used by carpenters, joiners, cabinetmakers, and other woodworkers for layout and precision work.
This unmarked example is a useful representation of traditional hand-tool woodworking and would make a nice addition to a collection of antique measuring and layout tools.
Overall in decent shape with some bad spots on the metal blade. It is pretty straight with clear markings. The brass has some tarnish and the wood is in good shape with some wear.
