1930s Art Deco Lady/Goddess/Nymph Aftermarket Hood Ornament/Car Mascot.

We are offering for sale an accessory hood ornament or mascot from the Streamline Moderne era, made of cast metal (pot metal/antimony) with a chrome finish. The design features a stylized female figure (a nymph or allegory of speed) in an aerodynamic pose, holding a winged wheel or steering wheel in her left hand. Such pieces were sold through period accessory catalogs for car customization.
The piece is intact, with no cracks or missing sections in the metal casting. It retains its original threaded mounting stud for attachment to a vehicle or display base.
There is wear to the outer chrome plating due to age and weather exposure, revealing the underlying copper layer and base metal on parts of the silhouette (resulting in a natural patina). It has not been polished or chemically altered, remaining in its original condition.
It measures approximately 19 cm in length and 7.5 cm in maximum height.
