Here’s a hard-to-find Slumpy’s SM-9834 glass slumping mold, part of Slumpy’s discontinued Ballantyne series of plate molds.
This is a beautiful 11" × 11" square plate mold with gently curved sides and corners and a shallow profile approximately 1/2" deep. It creates an elegant contemporary plate shape that works beautifully with fused glass designs.
The mold is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. It has seen very little use — if any at all. I honestly don't remember ever firing this particular mold. It is exceptionally clean, as the photos show.
The underside retains the original Slumpy’s identification and SM-9834 model number, and the mold has the original vent holes necessary for proper slumping.

Slumpy’s molds have long been popular with glass artists, and many of their discontinued shapes are becoming difficult to replace. If you've been looking for this particular Ballantyne mold—or simply want a versatile square plate mold for your studio—this is an unusually nice example.
