For sale is my white Porsche 928, 1984 A reg. I’ve owned this car since 2019 and it has been a genuine pleasure. It’s a usable classic that is fully roadworthy, starts and runs very well, and has been regularly driven at weekends while kept garaged at home the rest of the time.

In my ownership it has had the following replaced

•  Timing belt

•  Water Pump

•  Radiator 

•  Coil packs

•  Steering rack

This is a proper classic Porsche 928 with a V8 engine that you can jump in and drive. The engine bay looks clean and original, the interior is presentable with its period tan leather seats and classic 928 dashboard, and the car feels solid on the road. The car had a strosek kit added at some point in its life, this included the bonnet with air vents and a spoiler. The spoiler I had removed from the car but this is available to the new buyer. It’s not a pristine concours example and like most 40+ year-old cars it has the usual age related marks and would benefit from some finishing touches to make it even better but it is honest, usable, and ready to enjoy. 

Condition notes

There are some areas of bodywork that need attention (shown clearly in the photos), including:

•  Minor scratches and stone chips in places

•  Some surface rust around the fuel filler area and a couple of door shut/edge spots

•  Typical age-related wear on the lower body and wheel arches

• Holes in the boot lid and the front of the car where it originally had a strosek chin spoiler and a rear spoiler. Rear spoiler will be included in sale if you would like to add back on. 

• interior is fully functional but there are some parts where it’s coming away and could be replaced

Nothing that stops it being driven and enjoyed, but worth factoring in if you want it looking sharper. The interior shows expected wear for the age and come of the trim is coming away, but is still comfortable and original in character.

As well as this in 1984 this car came with an industry leading electrics. The car has electic windows and sunroof. However like many 928’s this car does suffer from sensor failures and electrical gremlins causing warning lights to display on the dash from time to time. As a useable classic these items need to be checked on a regular basis anyway and can’t always be trusted, it does not effect the drive of the car .

This is a car that has been looked after and used properly rather than left to sit. It’s ready for its next owner to continue enjoying or to take on as a rewarding improvement project.

In summary, this is an awesome beautiful car which turns a lot of heads creates a lot of discussion and is a lot of fun to drive. I do want to be honest in my description that is not a brand new car and will need love and care to keep on the road. It can be used as is or if you were keen for a project it would be a great restoration piece.
