An authentic antique copy of "A Narrative of the Voyages Round the World Performed by Captain James Cook" by A. Kippis. This volume was printed in late 1883 by the prominent Philadelphia publisher Porter & Coates as part of their decorative Victorian "Alta Edition" series.

Beautifully ornate, blind-stamped green Victorian publisher's cloth cover.

Original multi-page promotional publisher's catalog bound into the back.

CONDITION NOTE:

Please review all listing photos closely to evaluate condition. This book is over 140 years old and shows expected signs of age and handling:

Cover binding exhibits shelf wear, bumping to corners, and spine rubbing.

Front inner hinge is starting to split/open along the textured endpapers, though the text block remains fully attached.

Interior pages show noticeable foxing, age-toning, and some fluid staining along the title page and early margins. Text remains completely readable.
