The ENGO EPC11W is a digital pump controller for central heating and hot water systems. A brass temperature probe on a 1.5 m cable reads the water temperature, and the controller switches a 230V circulation pump on or off at the temperatures you set. It suits boiler, radiator and hot water cylinder circuits, and can also be used as a safety thermostat. In CH mode the pump starts once the probe passes your ON setting (5 to 75°C), so heat is circulated once the boiler is up to temperature. In DHW mode the pump stops once the probe reaches your OFF setting (10 to 80°C), protecting the hot water tank from overheating. A fixed 2°C switching difference helps prevent rapid on-off cycling. The LED display shows the live sensor temperature from 0 to 99°C, with separate lights for power and pump operation. Settings are made with three buttons, and a manual mode lets you run the pump to check it is working. A side switch turns the unit on and off. Pump protection is built in. The anti-stop function runs the pump for 15 seconds every 14 days to help prevent seizing outside the heating season, frost protection runs it continuously below 5°C, and an audible alarm sounds if the temperature reaches 90°C. If the sensor develops a fault (E1 or E2), the pump keeps running until it is fixed. The controller arrives with three pre-wired leads for the controller supply, pump supply and temperature sensor. The leads are bare-ended with no plugs, for fixed wiring by a qualified installer. It mounts on the wall through two keyhole slots.
