Scott G853 fly rod from the classic G Series.
Specifications:
8'6"
3wt
2-piece
2.7 oz
This rod features the distinctive tapered cork grip used on early Scott G Series rods, along with a cork reel seat and silver cap-and-ring hardware.
The aluminum tube has some light surface rubbing and wear.
The rod sock appears to be an original Scott sock, but it is sized for a 9' rod and is slightly longer than this rod.
The cork grip shows some signs of use. The cork reel seat has several small pits and voids. The reel seat hardware is functional, and the butt end has some light rubbing.
The blank is in very good condition overall, with only very light surface rub marks as shown in the photos. There are no deep scratches or structural damage.
A nice example of the classic Scott G Series in the desirable 8'6" 3wt configuration.
