Note that this is a rustic linen and has been stonewashed which raises the fibres gives it a timeworn finish and creates a mottled finish , all of which is intentional. It is a natural fabric - the fabric has natural slubs, flecks or raised fibres in the weave , these are not defects , they are part of the natural characteristics of the fabric and are made more obvious because the fabric has been stonewashed
