Setup, in four stops
From the desk to the eave.
- Charge it first. About 5 hours by Micro-USB, from a 5 V USB adapter you already own.
- Update the HomeBase. Install its latest firmware in the eufy Security app.
- Pair it beside the hub. Add it in the app next to the HomeBase, then walk it out and check the connection holds.
- Mount it 2 to 3 m up. Aim it across the path once: 135° is wide, but fixed.
Power and storage
Half a year between charges.
Up to 180 days a charge from its 6,700 mAh battery, on eufy’s own usage scenario. Busy spots, long clips, the spotlight and alert settings use it faster. A full charge takes about 5 hours by Micro-USB.
Clips live on the HomeBase. The camera has no card slot and no storage of its own. It records motion events, not 24/7, and local storage has no monthly fee.

Is a renewed unit worse at its job than a new one?
No. The grade describes the housing, not the electronics; the difference is cosmetic marks and the plain packaging.
Will it work with my HomeBase Mini?
Yes. eufy added the 2C (T8113) to the Mini’s list in its August 2026 compatibility guide. Update the Mini’s firmware before pairing.
Does it charge by USB-C, and is there a plug?
Neither. It charges by Micro-USB with the included cable, from a 5 V USB adapter you already own. A full charge takes about 5 hours.
Does it work with Apple Home, Alexa or Google?
eufy lists Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for this camera. Apple Home (HomeKit) works through a HomeBase 2.

Will the battery always last exactly 180 days?
No. Up to 180 days is eufy's rating for the built-in 6,700 mAh battery under its test assumptions. Motion frequency, recording length, live viewing, detection settings, temperature and signal conditions change the result. A full recharge is listed at about five hours using the included Micro-USB cable with a standard 5V USB adapter.
Does it charge with USB-C or include a power adapter?
Neither. The eufyCam 2C uses Micro-USB, and the supplied charging cable matches that port. A USB-C cable will not fit. The box does not include a USB power adapter, so connect the cable to a standard 5V USB charger you already own. Charging is best completed before pairing and mounting the camera.
Does this camera record continuously or add storage?
No on both counts. It records motion-triggered event clips rather than continuous 24/7 footage. Video is stored on the HomeBase, not on the camera, so adding this unit adds a viewing angle but no storage capacity.
