George I Britannia Silver Hanoverian Rat Tail Spoon

A fine example of a silver table/serving spoon made in the George I period. Hanoverian pattern with rat tail bowl. Crested with Leopard with Ducal Coronet and likely that of the May Family of Stoke by Nayland - Suffolk. Hallmarked with Britannia to denote 99.9% silver.

Generally in very good condition. No evidence of damage or previous restoration or repair. Light fire stain but only minor. Bowl in good condition with light marking as to be expected for age. Hallmarks are lightly rubbed but generally very good. Reverse crest in good condition with light rubbing.
