Item Condition
New, unused stock in the original Olympus box with lens case. Opened only for our inspection: brightfield imaging briefly verified on an Olympus BX40. Phase contrast not tested.
New, unused stock (old stock from a Japanese supplier), supplied in the original Olympus paper box with the black lens case and plastic bag. The yellow magnification band and all engravings are crisp, and the RMS thread is clean with no wear marks. Optically, the front and rear lenses show no scratches, chips, haze, fungus or dust, and inspection against transmitted light showed no balsam separation or internal haze. The paper box has slight scuffing at the corners from storage.

The Olympus UPlanFL N 10x/0.30 Ph1 is a semi-apochromat (fluorite) universal plan objective from the Olympus UIS2 series, engraved OLYMPUS / UPlanFL N / 10x /0.30 Ph1 / infinity/-/OFN26.5 / UPLFLN10X2PH / UIS2 / MADE IN JAPAN. It is an infinity-corrected objective with 0.30 numerical aperture, no cover glass thickness specification, and a field number capability of 26.5, and it uses the standard Olympus RMS-type objective thread used on BX, CX, IX and similar UIS2 stands. The Ph1 designation indicates the built-in phase ring for phase contrast observation when combined with a matching Ph1 phase condenser; fluorite objectives of this class are widely used for brightfield, fluorescence, polarization and phase contrast work in research and clinical laboratories.
