Item Description:Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5000C baitcasting reel in classic black finish. Based on the serial number stamped on the foot (027200), this reel was manufactured in Sweden in February 1972. It features the iconic gold royal crest medallion and the classic pearly white double paddle handle knobs.

Condition & Testing:Mechanically: Tested and fully operational. I grew up using modern Abu Garcia reels but had never cast one of these vintage models before. I took it out to test it before listing and absolutely fell in love with it—the action is incredibly smooth and it performs beautifully.

• Cosmetically: Shows some minor paint wear and light scuffs from honest age and use (please see high-resolution photos for exact cosmetic details). No major dents or structural damage. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear.
• This is a fantastic piece for both collectors and anglers who want to experience the legendary smoothness of 1970s Swedish craftsmanship.
