Rare antique 16-inch hand-forged iron tongs/pincers featuring an unusual Gaekwad Sarkar Baroda (Badode) coin incorporated into the central pivot instead of a conventional washer.

The long tapered iron arms are joined by a riveted pivot, while the opposite end has an attractive openwork brass/bronze decorative fitting. The aged hand-forged construction, heavy natural patina and princely-state coin detail give this piece strong character.
