Versatility Benefits - This model of Interchangeable shanks enables use across different machines without the need of buying multiple heads, thus reducing costs.This two piece fly milling cutter with 5" head diameter uses interchangeable or replaceable shanks, allowing the same cutter head to mount on various spindles like R8, 2MT, 3MT or 3/4" shanks for milling machines and lathes. The whole idea behind making this model for machinists was taken from boring heads, where the same boring head can be used on various spindles simply by changing the shanks.

• R8 Shank Drawbar : 7/16" UNF

• Square Tool Bit Included : 1/2" x 4" Fitted With TNMG16 Carbide Insert.

• Designed for milling operations, fly cutters are used for facing & creating flat surfaces.

• Due to it’s size & design, this fly cutter model can efficiently cover a large surface area in a single pass.

• TNMG16 carbide inserts has a 3 face design with 2 cutting edges per face. When the insert becomes worn out, it can be easily replaced by screwing in a new one.

• Primarily designed for our 5" Head Dia. Fly Cutters, however, this tool bit holder can fit any fly cutter that accepts 1/2" tooling, offering versatility across different milling setups.

• Compatible with milling machines, provides an overall smooth finish.The 1/2" shank is machined to precise tolerances, ensuring squareness and accuracy.
