Tricker’s for Burberry Devon Leather Brogues – Black – NWOB
An exceptional pair from the limited Tricker’s for Burberry Winter collaboration, created for Daniel Lee’s first collection as Burberry Chief Creative Officer.
Handcrafted in Northampton, England by Tricker’s, Britain's historic shoemaker founded in 1829, the Devon reinterprets the traditional English country brogue through Burberry's contemporary proportions and detailing.
Crafted from smooth black calf leather, the shoes feature an exaggerated wingtip construction with intricate laser-cut/brogue perforations, an almond-shaped country-shoe toe and an unusually oversized leather tongue that gives the traditional Derby silhouette a distinctly modern character.
The interior provides the signature Burberry contrast: rich cobalt/royal-blue leather lining with genuine Tricker’s / Made in England / BURBERRY co-branding.
Traditional welted construction is paired with a substantial black Commando rubber lug outsole, designed for durability and outdoor wear. Blue stitching around the outsole provides a subtle additional reference to Burberry's vivid blue detailing.
A particularly interesting piece from Daniel Lee's earliest Burberry period, combining authentic Northampton shoemaking with the exaggerated proportions and saturated color accents that defined his initial vision for the house.
