TOPCON CL-300 Auto Lensmeter Lensometer Computerized Optometry Built-in Printer
Item Condition
Used. Powers on and measures low-power single vision lenses; dirt on housing, nameplate label missing.
Used unit with visible dirt and soiling on the housing, but no major scratches or dents. The identification/rating label is missing from the body, so the serial number, exact model designation and power input rating printed on the nameplate could not be confirmed; a side label shows a June 2019 manufacturing date. The contact lens support and ring are missing.
Operation Check
Power on confirmed, the unit completes its startup initialization and the color LCD shows the startup screen and measurement screen. The touch panel responds, X-Y / P-B prism display switching works, the SETUP screen displays, and R/L AUTO left/right detection operates. With no lens in place the zero point reads S 0.00 / C 0.00. Measurement was verified with low-power single vision lenses: a plus lens read S +1.00 / C +0.00 / A 180 and a minus lens read S -1.00 / C +0.00 / A 180, and a both-eyes measurement was performed (L: S -0.75, R: S -1.00) with automatic R/L detection working. Alignment, measurement OK and marking OK indications were displayed, marking printed three dots with red ink using the lever, and the built-in thermal printer printed and fed paper normally with no faint printing. UV transmittance does display numeric values (0% and 20% were shown on different lenses), but the reading was not reproducible in our test and the UV-cut property of the test lenses was not confirmed. High-power lenses, cylinder (astigmatic) lenses, progressive/ADD measurement and contact lens measurement were NOT tested because no suitable test lenses or the contact lens support were available. Previous owner's information: the unit was described as working, with power-on and measurement confirmed on their side. That is their report, not our own verification.

The Topcon CL-300 is a computerized automatic lensmeter (lensometer) used in optical shops and eye care practices to measure the sphere, cylinder, axis and prism values of spectacle lenses. It features a color LCD with touch operation, automatic right/left lens detection, X-Y and P-B prism display, UV transmittance measurement, a lens marking mechanism and a built-in thermal printer for printing measurement results. It is a compact benchtop instrument designed for fast routine lens verification and eyeglass dispensing work.
