Original blue cloth binding with gold gilt lettering on the front board and spine. Missing original dust jacket. Boards are in excellent condition, with only small knocks to the head and base of the spine, rubbing at the corners of the boards. Light foxing along the page top edges, and on the pages at the start and end of the textblock. The textblock is tight and square, the pages are in excellent condition. 

A legendary text in the history of psychiatry, this book represents Freud’s first major attempt to set out his theory of a dynamic unconscious, created in childhood, which operates continuously in every human mind. The dreams discussed in the book include not only those of many patients, but also several of Freud’s own dreams - highly uncommon for psychiatric work at the time.
