For sale is this beautifully authentic Gullah sweetgrass "Elephant Ear" wall pocket vase with flower arrangement.

This is a hand sewn sweetgrass basket crafted in the traditional Gullah Geechee style of the South Carolina Lowcountry outside of Charleston, South Carolina. 

This piece features the classic "Elephant Ear" design, known for its elegant, deep-welled center and wide, sweeping handles. This "Vase" or "Elephant Ear" shape is a favorite among collectors for its sculptural presence.

This one is particularly nice because it has a silk flower arrangement with red, white and light blue flowers and green leaves already included in the pocket.

Good condition - the weave is tight, and the colors are vibrant but there is some missing weave on the right bottom side and a couple of small places here and there.

The vase measures 8 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide and weighs 5.6 ounces.
