Marvel Comics | 1985 | Raw VF/NM
A cornerstone issue in the original Marvel Transformers series, The Transformers #8 features the first full appearance of the Dinobots in Marvel Comics and marks the beginning of one of the franchise's most beloved teams. Written by Bob Budiansky with artwork by William Johnson and a dynamic cover by Mark D. Bright, this Copper Age key issue is considered an essential addition to any Transformers collection. The main story, "Repeat Performance!", sees Ratchet journey to the Savage Land to recover the long-lost Dinobots before Megatron can secure total victory over the Autobots.
With the Autobots seemingly defeated, Ratchet embarks on a desperate mission to the Savage Land to recover the legendary Dinobots, who have remained dormant for millions of years. As Megatron tightens his grip on Earth, the return of Grimlock and his powerful teammates gives the Autobots a fighting chance against the Decepticons. This landmark issue introduces the Dinobots into Marvel continuity and remains one of the most desirable books from the original 80-issue run.
